On Monday 30th July 2017 all catholic church in Indonesia are greeting catholic youth people, they are from India, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia, Taiwan, Timor Leste, Indonesia etc. Every diocese in Indonesia became places to do Asian Youth Day program which is live-in, including catholic church in Cirebon, Bunda Maria and St. Yosef.
Bunda Maria and St. Yosef church got catholic youth people from Taiwan and Timor Leste. My family became participant of this program and became places to live-in. A few month before 30th July every foster family had a meeting to explain what should we do when catholic youth people is in our house and the committe told us which region that will live in our house. And they told us that we got youth people from........... Taiwan and Timor Leste!
And the time came!! On Monday 30th July 2017 asian youth people came to our church at 5 pm! The committee told the foster family to eat traditional snacks from Indonesia with youth people from Taiwan and Timor Leste. After that there are some welcome ceremony with them. Then every foster family was called to the front to welcome youth people. My family got 2 girls, one from Taiwan, and one from Indonesia. The girl from Taiwan was called Catherine, and from Indonesia was called Suki. We greet each other in Sundanese way, after that we took a picture in front of the altar. Then we go outside to take their luggages, and we went to buy food for our dinner. Then we went home and ate dinner at 9 pm. After that we chatted until 10.30 pm, then we slept.
